Adventure

The ferry Adventure is named after the small Spanish sloop that served as the tender or supply ship for Blackbeard’s flag ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge. According to one historic account, the sloop was captured by Blackbeard and his crew near the bay of Honduras in the western Caribbean in March of 1717 and was involved in the final battle at Oracoke in which the pirate was killed.
